Water footprint and you

Log start: 1:23am March 23rd 2009

It's amazing that with the talk about global climate change and all, people are going "yeah yeah! lets change the world for the better! let's limit CO2 and water consumption so the world will be a better place!"
and then they turn around and yell at local office holders because they're raising the taxes for gasoline or eletricity prices.
Ok, so there are many of other ways to help the earth? I came across this website mentioned above and the picture tells us a thousand words. The amount of water that you can potentially save everyday, and if everyone in the world saved water like this, we would have... TONS of water, eh?
When i first saw this picture, it actually made me feel like a bad person, i mean. i like beef, but i don't have chicken, so having less beef and more chicken more often means that i'm saving 1213 gallons of water everytime. Which means i can possibly drink water for 1213 more days.
and then these asshats come and comment like

who the fuck cares how much water is used unless ur paying per the bottle for it to wash my face"
The nerve of these people, it's one thing to not care, but it's one thing to make it seem like the world revolves around yourself.
*sigh* but what can we do about the world's stupidity? they'll end up flipping my burgers or taking out my garbage one day >.>
Back on topic, the amount that one person can do is no longer a mysterious number in the air but facts on paper, you can read on this everywhere, people demand numbers, and the scientists have finally crunched them out. 2270.75 gallons of water saved everyday.
Ok, so you don't want to change a lot of your habits, just remember that by not eating beef for one day, you're saving more than half of the quota that you can possibly save xD
HakoneDayDreamer, useless post. i only wrote this because i saw that asshat's comment and thought, "wow, the nerve of some people"
