Since i have nothing interesting to talk about today, i'm going to talk about the most recent movie that i watched... Slumdog Millionaire.
JUST TO BE A LITTLE HONEST, i'd expect just a little more from this Academy Award BEST PICTURE award winner. This movie is great, the style is amazing and the story falls into place a bit at a time. You cannot predict what will happen next, and this is an important characterisic of ANY movie; to leave your audience on the edge of your seats waiting for what's comming next.
The only movie that i watched in 2008 that even matches this style is Ironman, but let's talk about that movie later.

A good movie doesn't have to have million dollar pyrotechnics or high-tech gadgets to make the movie awesome, and this movie is an awesome example... *cough* even if the previous winners of best pictures weren't that great *extra cough* CRASH *extracough* *cough*
The style of the movie has been attempted and failed by many, but where others failed, Slumdog has hit the targets with little to no mistake. Everytime you want more of the movie, they stop it a bit and then let you digest what you just saw, giving time for the audience to absorb the essense of the story line. and then bringing back the story at just the right time.
It's just pure amazing. but keep in mind that i still don't think it was the best movie of 2008...
and for those of you who think The Dark Knight deserved that title. Go suck on a lemon and throw yourself into the ocean, that movie wasn't that great.
GO WATCH THE MOVIE, (most of) you won't regret it :D
Note to self: Keeping my own personal movie ranking starting now.

i'll say this was a decent review for the movie, not that i could do better =) i really liked the movie and can't believe it was gonna go straight to dvd. really exposed the nature of slums in india - kept us on the edge of our seats - characters had a lot of depth and i think the child actors were AMAZING - managed to throw in some comedic scenes in there such as boy plunging into pile of human excretions and then still insisting on getting an autograph and all while getting poop on people's clothes LOL - ok i could go on but i wont and you probably stopped reading after the first sentence lol
btw how do you create that list of blogs you follow!? blogger is confusing.
